Shiga Kogen,the site of the 1998 Winter Olympics,the stage for many exciting events. A cluster of 21 ski slopes developed into an international,world class ski resort. Blessed by nature's powder snow,surrounded by the grandeur of the mountains,a feeling of liberation embraces youin the high country known as Shiga Kogen. Mt.Yokote,the highest point in Shiga Kogen,is covered in powder snow from November through mid-May.We offer one of the longest ski seasons in Japan. The exhilirating 360 degree panoramic view from the top of Mt.Yokote ranges from the summit of Mt.Fuji to the glistening waters of the Sea of Japan.
